My experience with splash pages

       I think most of you know what are splashpages - simplified, eye catching pages with the
main information or an interesting design which are mostly used in traffic exchanges.
When you clikc on a splash it leads you to the affiliate or other page you want to show.
Some of the affiliate pages are not so suitable for use in TEs - they have a lot of information,
too much text and especially  on the TEs with short timer - about 10 seconds - their potential cannot be fully used.
      And then comes another difficulty - affiliate pages beginning with https cannot be often
used on TEs and also mailing lists. They are not accepted, sometimes you can avoid this
problem leaving out the S and begin the URL with http only - but often this does not help
and you cannot use this site. In this moment comes the possibility to create a splashpage
leading to the original web.
       Some  traffic exchanges offer this possibility inside their member area as a free service
for members. For instance Easyhits4You or Clickvoyager.... but these splashpages are simple
and do not offer a lot creativity. In spite of it I think it is a good opporutunity to finish a splashpage very quickly and to train a bit how to design it.
I want sometimes something more original and in that case I use AdKreator. It has a great
lot of templates and you can make something really original what others do not have.
